About Fae Pictures
Based in Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto, FAE PICTURES is an award-winning media production company on a mission to decolonize Hollywood by creating cinematic content for, by, and about queer, trans, and BIPOC people.
We have won the Sundance NEXT Award, the GLAAD Media Award, the Berlin TEDDY Award, the Bergen Golden Owl Award, and the XPOSED Supreme Lolly Award. Our films have premiered at Sundance (Framing Agnes), Cannes Directors’ Fortnight (In Flames), Berlin (International Dawn Chorus Day), Toronto (Scaring Women at Night), Canneseries (Streams Flow From A River), Palm Springs Shortsfest (Diaspora), and Aspen Shortsfest (I Live Here). Upcoming for release is Queen Tut (Sphere Films, Crave, CBC), and set for production are the Indigenous heist comedy DEGREES OF SEPARATION (IPF, CMF), and the South African period drama GRANNY LEE (NFVF, JETS, Known Associates Ent).
Work Culture
Fae Pictures is built around an innovative sustainable growth model that is task-driven rather than based on hours worked. The hours stipulated below act as a guiding framework for the expected commitment. If you don’t need all the hours, you don’t need to work those hours. If you like working early in the morning or late at night, not a problem. We make it a point not to encourage working during the weekend or holidays. We do weekly company meetings at 2 pm ET on Mondays and are open to building communication infrastructure to ensure that all workers at Fae Pictures are heard. We use Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, for administrative activities and are working to continue to build an equitable, inclusive, and diverse work environment that encourages feedback, adaptation, and innovation. Self-care and work-life balance are important tenets of our work culture, as are integrity, responsibility, and accountability. If this sounds exciting to you, we would love to work with you!
